We are Bev and Les Graham and we have been involved in this wonderful breed since 1998 with the purchase of our very first DDB River, Laruscades Phoebe for Jerivindi. We now have a very successful Show Kennel comprising of eight males and seven females, we also own Jerivindi Jaxx who is in partnership with myself and Irene Myhrvold who is in Norway and Jerivindi Zodiac again in partnership in the UK.
We have bred many Champions and International Champions, we are very proud of their success. We have promoted our dogues in England picking up top awards. Since 2003 we have picked up awards such as Eukanuba Top DDB, and in 2006 and 2007 Jerivindi Magena at Duntarvie owned by Janet Perrie was awarded top DDB for the second year running. Jerivindi Distinctive Dream has picked up top Brood Bitch for three years running, no other dogue has ever achieved this. Jerivindi Red Rocco was also given the award of Top Puppy in the UK 2005, and in 2007 his half brother Jerivindi Sid For Anneddwen took the very same award, both once again from the very beautiful female Jerivindi Distinctive Dream. We are very proud of these achievements as we were when we picked up a very prestigious award at the SADB club match in France presented by Raymond Triquett, winners of the top breeders class, once again no other UK kennel has ever won this award, so of course we were very honoured to win this.
Our dogues have also achieved Top Puppy in Ireland and awarded the title of Celtic Winner 2005 with once again a puppy from Jerivindi Distinctive Dream, Jerivindi Kiowa Apache at Libertia, and Top DDB in Norway was given to Jerivindi Jaxx in 2006 and 2007. Jerivindi Jerome was the youngest ever dogue to be awarded Rarities Int Champion and in 2006 was rated as one of the top three doges in the USA. Two of our dogues were also promoted in Sweden by our very good friends Thomas and Kristina who made both up to Swedish Champion and one also to Finnish Champion and also Int. Champion We have also bred a Mexican Champion, Irish Champion and we have many more on their way to becoming Champions.
We have made Breed History with Zorbre who became the very first DDB to become Irish Champion, breed history again was made with Rayne who was the only ever female to take the title of UKDDBC Club Champion and she now also holds the title of Belgium winner 2007. This year again breed history was made when Jerivindi Devon for Piechottka won Best Puppy in Show making her the very first DDB Puppy ever to win this in the UK.
In 2007 I attended a seminar held Professor Raymond Triquet hosted by the DDBCGB, at the end of the seminar I took an exam on the standard of the breed and passed which has now enabled me to judge this wonderful breed. At present I have had one appointment with another two lined up for this year. I have also writtten the breed notes in Dog World for the past year now and love been involved in the breed in as many ways as possible. We have been regular exhibitors at the GB, French, Dutch and Irish Club Matches, as well as many Champ shows both here in the UK and in Ireland, making up many Champions along the way. Our dogues have also won Best in show at both the UK and Irish DDB Club Match, and have always been placed at both The Dutch and French Club match receiving Excellent and entering the ring of honour. The two UK bred dogues who have won Best of Breed at the Dutch Club match and Best Bitch at French Club match were both from our sire Ir. Ch Laruscades Miracle Boy, or Zorbre as he is better known.
This year 2008, unfortunately has been a difficult year for us because of family health problems which has prevented us from showing as much as we would like to, we will however attend as many shows as we can and hope to make up both Juno and Rayne Champions this year. We are sad that we will not now be able to attend the World Show in Sweden this year or the Irish DDCBI Club match but hopefully will get to the French and Dutch Club match.
One of our proudest moments has been captured in the pictures below taken at the French Club match 2007 where we were lucky enough to win the breeders class and were presented with the trophy from Professor Raymond Triquet.
